Today marked our first ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ of the year! We had four fab guests come out and brave a rather windy day, here to look for nature and hear about our recent works. For a cold day, it was the cold-blooded creatures out in force. A walk by the ponds by the hall found lots of frog and toadspawn, as well as some otter spraint. We then walked around a section of the moor and found not one, not two but three female adders, all huddled in a pile in the sunshine, getting the most warmth they could. It was a really great experience and some of our guests had never had a good look at an adder before. We were able to watch the adders and walk away without disturbing them all - though one did shuffle off.
